Ideally situated in the large, suburban village of Tadworth, near Epsom Downs, The Blue Anchor is a stylish pub, bar, and restaurant that is perfectly equipped to cater to all of your requirements.

A pub for people with great taste, step inside The Blue Anchor and enjoy stylish yet comfortable interiors, an expansive menu that incorporates an eclectic selection of dishes, and a vast selection of wines, real ales, and lagers that will complement your meal with effortless ease.

And, if al fresco dining on a sunny day is one of your favourite ways to enjoy the summer months, you’ll be pleased to hear that we also have a lovely outdoor garden space that’s ideal for dining outdoors when the weather is warm enough.

We are also a child friendly establishment and have a dedicated menu for your little ones to enjoy. On this menu you will find battered cod goujons, Cumberland sausages and mashed potato, and chicken breast strips that are sure to keep little rumbling tummies at bay!

Perfect for any occasion

The village of Tadworth is served by its own railway station, situated just a four minute drive from The Blue Anchor. Kingswood and Tattenham Corner stations are also close by if you fancy a nice scenic walk. Both stations are in Oyster Card Zone 6.

A number of bus services also serve the area, including the 420 and the 460, which pass through the village towards Epsom, Sutton, Redhill, and Crawley.

If you’re travelling by road, the A217 Brighton Road runs around the eastern boundary of the village, providing direct access to Reigate Hill junction of the M25 motorway, and across to Banstead/Walton Heath to the south.

Keeping Busy in Tadworth

Situated deep in the Surrey countryside, The Blue Anchor is just a stone’s throw away from a network of country walks and trails – making us the perfect spot to enjoy a well-earned bite to eat or a refreshing drink mid-way through a lovely country walk.

Epsom Downs, Headley Heath, Gatton Park, and Box Hill are all great for those looking to enjoy some open-air relaxation.

Local attractions include Bourne Hall Museum, which offers a diverse range of exhibits ranging from a fire engine to toys and medical equipment, whilst Polesden Lacey is home to a great collection of paintings and silver pieces.

The Epsom Race Course is also close by so, if you’ve enjoyed a long day of racing, why not pop into The Blue Anchor to refresh and refuel. And, for thrill seekers, Chessington World of Adventure is just down the road.
